Jim and Lynne Jackson
Co-Founders & Speakers
Jim and Lynne Jackson, founders of Connected Families and co-authors of How to Grow a Connected Family and Discipline that Connects with Your Child’s Heart, have over fifty years combined professional experience working with children, teens, and families. In 1990, after serving as ministry staff in two large churches and bearing two intense and lively kids, Jim and Lynne became very intentional about parenting, and then about helping other parents. Lynne became a pediatric Occupational Therapist. Jim became a director of a ministry to high-risk teens and their families. They added a third child, completing their AAA hat-trick (that is, adding a third child with ADHD, Asthma, and Allergies. Quite an intense bunch!). As Jim and Lynne toughed out those early years, they started developing numerous resources to inspire and equip parents for grace and truth in their relationships at home. After serving hundreds of parents and thousands of kids it became clear more was needed. In 2002 Jim and Lynne founded Connected Families to partner with churches to build strong families. Their presentations bring real life to audiences through impromptu role-plays, transparent stories of their own successes and failures, and stories of the experiences of hundreds of parents they have coached over the years. They leave parents laughing, crying, encouraged and equipped to uniquely bring God’s grace to life in their homes right away! As Faith@Home coaches, Jim and Lynne work with church staff to create church-wide strategies to more effectively equip parents for discipleship in their homes. Whether in the trenches with parents as mentors, on the stage as presenters, or in planning meetings with staff, Jim and Lynne bring a wealth of experience, overflowing passion, and years of wisdom to their service. Testimonials: “I had the privilege of being in a parent training seminar with Jim and Lynne as they led a group of churched and un-churched parents in several sessions on how to raise Godly students. I was envious of their ability to draw in the parents and then supply them with practical Biblical help.” Mark Gold – Friendship Church, nationally known speaker and life-long youthworker. “Jim and Lynne’s presentation style is so incredibly real, and personal! I felt like I was sitting with them in their living room, even though there were a hundred people in the room.” Marci Mohan – Family Connections Director, St. Michael’s Lutheran Church “I have never seen such a powerful blending of sound Christian thinking with practical ideas parents can use now! This is the parenting message I’ve been waiting to hear!” Pastor John Dack – Family and Children’s Pastor, Northwood Church.

Administrative Associate & Moms Group Liaison
After hearing Connected Families at her church’s MOPS group a few years back, Alyssa was inspired with ideas for how better to parent her feisty 2-year-old daughter. Those principles continue to be an asset as her family has grown. Her full-time jobs are wife to her husband of 10 years and mom to their 4 independent kids (ages 7, 5, 3, 2). Having served in a variety of MOPS leadership roles both in her church and within MOPS International, it’s a natural fit for her to be the Moms Group Liaison.
Daniel is Connected Families’ webmaster and resident systems guy. He is also Jim and Lynne’s eldest son. He, alongside his wife and business partner Rebekah (see below!) owns and runs a budding web development business called 10x. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys coding games with his brother and getting voice lessons from his sister. Daniel and his wife Rebekah live in Minnesota where they run their business and enjoy camping, card games, and conflict resolution.
Content & Social Media Manager
Rebekah is an avid bookworm and lover of words. She began her professional career as a Language Arts teacher to 80 middle schoolers before realizing that God was calling her elsewhere. She is passionate about communicating the transformational Connected Families messages of grace and truth clearly to parents from all walks of life around the world. She and her husband, Daniel (see above), have a web communications business together and love being both coworkers and best buddies (even when they argue).
Assistant Speaking Engagements Coordinator
Ellie Peterson is a coffee-lover and an aspiring optimist. After counseling women facing crisis pregnancies, Ellie felt the call to “up-stream” work with Connected Families. It was while starting a business with Bethany, one of the three Jackson children, Ellie learned the four messages of Connected Families by the way Bethany communicated with her and lead with humility and grace. Ellie and her husband Andy love biking, kayaking and leading worship together at their church, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in St. Paul.
