Parent Coaching Certification Program Details

Our certification process is designed to guide you step by step from learning The Connected Families Framework to confidently coaching families.

Overview

Grow as a parent while you explore whether becoming a Connected Families parent coach is the right fit for you.

Details

  • Duration: 3–6 months (Cohorts start in April and October)
  • Cost: $850 per individual / $975 for couples

Requirements

  • Fill out an application
  • Interview with Director of Coaching, Chad Hayenga
  • Complete Discipline That Connects With Your Child’s Heart online course
  • Read How to Grow a Connected Family
  • Read Discipline That Connects With Your Child’s Heart
  • Complete four sessions of coaching with a Connected Families parent coach
  • Demonstrate ability to apply Connected Families Framework principles

Overview

Receive hands-on training, feedback, and support as you begin coaching parents using the Connected Families Framework.

Details

  • Next cohort begins in October 2026
  • Cost: $1,600 per individual / $2,400 for couples

Requirements

  • Complete all Connected Families online courses
  • Read all Connected Families ebooks
  • Record 4 coaching sessions and submit for feedback
  • Attend monthly group check-in meetings (approx. 2 hours each)
  • Complete assigned coursework

Overview

Continue growing as a certified coach with ongoing support, training, and connection.

Details

  • Duration: 12 months
  • Annual Renewal Fee: $715 per individual / $1,075 for couples

Requirements

  • Ongoing check-in meetings (minimum of four required)

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in human services, occupational therapy, education, or ministry (exceptions considered)

Experience

Preferred: counseling degree, coaching certification, or ministry experience

5 Yrs Parenting +

Phase 1:

Individual: $850
Couples: $975

Membership

FAQ

Six months is the maximum expected timeline. If you need more time, we will work with you to find a solution.

Books: Provided after acceptance. If already owned, you may pass them along.

Online Course: Included in Phase 1 (access code provided).

Coaching: Includes four sessions with a Connected Families coach.

Connected Families suggests $540 for a five-session package. Coaches may set their own rates.

You will be endorsed on the website, but you are responsible for building your own client base.

Yes. 10% of coaching revenue is allocated to scholarships. Awards are based on financial need and ministry impact.

Yes—if representing yourself as a Connected Families coach. Personal style is encouraged, but the core framework should remain intact.

The required four coaching sessions in Phase 1 help you discern fit. The team also helps assess alignment during the process.

Six group sessions with a trainer and cohort peers to build skills, community, and framework application.

No. You may use your certification however you choose, though charging is encouraged.

Yes—churches often invest in a leader to become a certified parent coach.

No. Certification requires ongoing participation in Phase 3.
